2025 Chinese New Year celebrations

In early 2025, the SDSU Chinese Cultural Center celebrated the Year of the Snake through festive events on campus and across the San Diego community. The Center hosted a Lunar New Year celebration featuring lantern paper cutting, calligraphy for “福” and “春,” traditional food and tea, and live Chinese music. It also participated in community celebrations at Mission Valley Mall and the San Diego Chinese New Year Festival in Downtown San Diego, where staff and volunteers offered Chinese name calligraphy and presented a traditional dance performance, sharing the joy and cultural traditions of Lunar New Year with hundreds of participants.
