A Journey Through Chinese Arts and Culture

On March 3rd, 2025, the SDSU Chinese Cultural Center hosted students from Xochicalco Bilingual High School in Tijuana for a day of cultural exchange and immersive activities. Students toured the center and explored its role in promoting Chinese art and culture. Participants engaged in hands-on experiences including a paper-cutting workshop to create intricate lanterns, a traditional Chinese tea ceremony emphasizing mindfulness and hospitality, and a calligraphy session to practice meaningful Chinese characters. The visit offered a rich cross-cultural learning experience, fostering connections between students while celebrating the depth and beauty of Chinese heritage.
