Cultural events & workshops

Throughout 2025, the SDSU Chinese Cultural Center offered a wide range of hands-on cultural programs, with the Six Arts Summer Camp serving as a centerpiece of the year’s activities. This two-week Chinese immersion program for students in grades 1–8 introduced participants to Chinese language, calligraphy, traditional festivals, opera, martial arts, and crafts, and included a field trip to the San Diego Chinese Historical Museum. The camp concluded with a student showcase featuring a Chinese-language play, calligraphy demonstrations, and Kung Fu fan performances, earning enthusiastic praise from families. Complementing the camp, the Center also hosted Lantern Festival, Spring Renewal, traditional Chinese painting workshops, and a Mid-Autumn Moon Festival mooncake workshop, collectively advancing its mission to build cultural understanding and community through accessible, experiential learning.
